Educational Intent

When evaluating grant applications for educational programs, the Review Team will look for those programs whose content aligns with the following statements of educational intent:

  • The program supports an educational need by providing valuable disease state information to enhance patient care
  • The program will help develop or increase knowledge and skills that healthcare professionals use to provide services for the public and patients
  • The program will help develop or increase knowledge of novel and emerging therapies based on a documented unmet need
  • The program will include global and US research perspectives, including molecular correlations
  • The program incorporates EBM (Evidence Based Medicine) related to core objectives, as well as methodology itself
  • The program will assist physicians in carrying out their diagnosis and treatment strategies more effectively and efficiently
  • The program will help develop or increase patient knowledge of disease state and treatment options
